The cost for Propecia, the only FDA-approved drug for this condition, was $12.19 for a month’s supply of the drug, compared to $3.76 for any other medication, according to Rite Aid.
“The cost of Propecia for women who take the drug is a staggering sum of money,” said Dr. Lisa M. Wolfe, vice president for hair loss, hair restoration and treatment at CVS Health.
